Keno – A popular casino game!
Mainly, there are three universal categories of casino games i.e., table games, electronic gaming machines and random number ticket games. Keno is actually the casino equivalent of the lottery. Here, you choose a card and get to pick numbers. Then you take the card back to the teller in the casino and they deposit it.
After every few minutes games are played and a computer supervises the random numbers that have been selected by the players and checks the same in the Keno area. If you have chosen not less than six correct numbers, you may win some cash. Sometimes you can win the game even if you have zero numbers matching.
Traditionally, a live casino keno game uses a spherical glass enclosed space called a “bubble” that contains 80 ping pong-like balls. These balls are helpful in determining the ball draw results. Every ball is embossed with a number ranging from 1 through 80. During the ball draw, a blower fills air into the bubble and mixes all the available balls. Another person, known as caller, presses a lever to open a tube, here balls get lifted simultaneously in a V- shaped tube called the ‘rabbit ears’. The caller and a ‘verifier’ then record each of 20 balls drawn, and the computerized keno system computes all the wagers based on the numbers drawn.
Players wager by marking an “X” over the “spot” choices on a blank keno ticket form with 80 numbered selection boxes (1 to 80). After all players successfully place their wagers, the casino draws 20 balls (numbers) at random. Some casinos automatically call the balldraw at preset timed intervals regardless of whether or not players are waiting to place a wager.
